WaveShifters is a band that came to life in 2024, straight out of the jams in Biarritz. I call them the Avengers—because honestly, they’ve pulled together the best musicians from the sessions. Thomas on guitar, Lotfi on guitar and vocals, Quentin on bass and vocals, Serge on keys, and Lucas on drums (now replaced by Eduardo).

Their sound is pure magic. Pop and funk covers blend seamlessly with free-flowing improvisation, and it just clicks. Watching them play isn’t just a show—it’s an experience.

Their first gig was during la Fête de la Musique 2024, on the streets of Bayonne, right outside "Chez Emile," a restaurant run by Gaëtan, another jam regular. The vibe that night was electric. By the end of their set, the stage turned into a full-on jam with friends from the crowd joining in. It’s a night I’ll never forget, and I’m grateful I got to capture it all with my camera.

When I shared this series to Instagram, I added a few abstract illustrations and played a bit with typography. The group ended up loving them so much they kept them as part of their logo and overall graphic identity.
