Graphite Drawings

When I started my one-year graphic design program at LABASAD in late 2023, I saw it as the perfect chance to reconnect with something I’d left behind years ago: drawing. Back in middle and high school, I couldn't stop sketching on all my notebooks, to the point where I seriously considered studying arts and design. But life had other plans. I ended up in a business school, heading down the path of marketing instead, and I stopped drawing completely. It wasn’t a conscious decision, but it’s something I’d always quietly regretted.

Fifteen years later, I finally picked up a pencil again I started with the basics—objects, photos—nothing too ambitious. I started small, drawing objects and photos in graphite, rediscovering that simple joy I hadn’t felt in so long.
