Concrete Surf Riders
From 2017 to 2020, I joined and ran a surfskate community in Paris called Concrete Surf Riders. What started as a few hundred members quickly grew to over 3,000 on Facebook by the time I left. With my limited design skills back then, I put together a simple logo and identity that ended up on our Facebook group, and created a dedicated website, stickers, and t-shirts. It wasn't perfect, but it gave the crew something to rally around.
Over three years, with the help of other volunteers, we organized around 50 weekly sessions on les quais de Seine, bringing together 30 to 60 people each time. Beyond that, we partnered with local shops to host community events and parties, and we hit the road for surf trips to Morocco and France. We also ran bowl sessions at skateparks and even organised wakeboarding meetups.
I captured it all through photography—nothing staged, just real people and real moments. That’s what Concrete Surf Riders is about: a community built on passion, grit, and good times.
